Smart guys, good sales

Last week I learned about two business intelligence models that I loved and that also seem to convince a lot of people that are buying them worldwide:  SiSense and Qlikview.

Both share a focus in serving the end user, avoiding BI to be just an IT tool in the hands of specialized IT or financial staff. This is something that matches exactly with what I have been writing about in this blog in the last months, and that hopefully also I’ll be able to demonstrate before the end of this year with the Mybicontrol application for Pymes we’re developing along with Edasnet.

They achieve this excellence by using two key features : the technology, (to talk about in future posts), and by allowing people to download a free full version, very easy to implement and to start with. This is complemented by very useful website information, formation available via webinar and training documentation. In a few minutes, if you're used to work with excel and database files, you can have the application up and running as if you had purchased it. Qlikview is already very good in making the setup very easy, but SiSense is even better, allowing you to easily linking several databases, excel files, documents, websites, in minutes. In the other hand, Qlikview uses a computer based interface, instead of the Sisense web-based one, which gives them additional features very useful.

Because of this they are attracting new customers at low cost, but are also creating apostles for its products. Nice to learn so much from so clever guys.
